Behind the idyllic view of Mill Pond, Palace House stands proud. Once the gatehouse to Beaulieu Abbey, this grand Victorian-gothic country manor has been home to the Montagu family (Beaulieu Estate owners), since 1538. Let its secrets unfold with a guided tour inside, or lose yourself in the surroundings of its colourful and fragrant gardens.
Built in 1204, Beaulieu Abbey once provided home, and solace, to Cistercian monks. Destroyed upon King Henry VIII’s orders 300 years later, many visit these now conserved ruins to get a taste of the simplistic and dedicated lifestyle that the monks once led.
Blending the old with new, the world-renowned Beaulieu Motor Museum houses a collection of 250 motor vehicles from throughout the times, and provides a great location for a day out in itself.
As well as visiting the larger attractions that Beaulieu has to offer, you can also enjoy the simple pleasures; visit the quaint High Streets independent shops, picnic at the rivers edge, or enjoy a drink or meal at the the local hotels cosy pub or Michelin Star restaurant!

Just 3 miles from Brockenhurst you will find Bucklers Hard. Voted for as one of the '101 Things To Do Before You Go Abroad' by Visit England, this quaint 18th Century shipbuilding village is rich in maritime history.
Wander down its cottage lined path to the river banks which once crafted boats for Admiral Nelson’s fleet, or take a stroll through the surrounding woodlands. Offering many attractions, you can also simply press pause and sit soaking up its stunning scenery!
